For those who have joined now, let me say few words about this Ghalib series.                                          Ghalib, his Ghazals, his poems, his genius, and his wits have always fascinated millions of Urdu lovers including myself. Those who want to read my previous work please send me an email request; I will email back my previous explanations just for asking.

This is my 55^th installment.  I have received excellent response from lot of friends; both Urdu and non-Urdu speakers. Please know that this is my own, Asghar Vasanwala’s, work and not a forwarding of someone else’s work as some you thought. Please forward this to your friends. ये ग़ालिब की १८वीं ग़ज़ल के शेअर नंबर १ और २ हैं। बहुत ही खूब सूरत अश्आर हैं ।

शेअर नंबर १:
बसका दुशवार है, हर काम का आसां होना
आदमी को भी मुएस्सर नहीं इन्सां होना
बसके=अज़ बसके=बहुत ज़्यादा   इन्सां होना=हक़ीक़ी मानी में इन्सानी पैदा करना    मुएस्सर=मिलना, हासिल होना
तशरीह: इस दुनिया में सब मुश्किल ही मुश्किल है। कोई काम आसान नहीं है। एक सादी सी बात को देखिए। हालानका हम इन्सान हैं और इस मुक़ाम से इंसानियत सिर्फ एक जुसत है फिर भी हमें सच्चे इन्सान होना मुएस्सर नहीं।
शेअर की खूबियां: मुख़ालफ़ अलफ़ाज़ दुशवार और आसां; आदमी और इन्सां बख़ूबी इस्तेमाल हुए हैं।
माहिरीन-ए- ग़ालिब की राय:
हाली : - "बादी उल-नज़र में एक मामूली बात मालूम होती है लेकिन ग़ौर से देखा जाए तो एक अछूता ख़याल है। दावा ये है कि दुनिया में आसान से आसान काम भी दुशवार है और दलील ये है कि आदमी जो ऐयन इन्सान है इस का भी एयन इन्सान बनना मुश्किल है।
शेअर नंबर २:
गिरेया चाहे है ख़राबी मरे काशाने की
दर-ओ-दीवार से टपके है बयाबां होना
ख़राबी = वीरानी, बर्बादी   काशाना = झोंपड़ा   दरोदीवार से टपकना = ज़ाहिर होना   ब्याबाँ =बिल्कुल वीरान
तशरीह: ग़ालिब बयान देता है कि मेरा रोना ये चाहता है कि मेरा घर वीरान हो जाए। और दलील पेश करता है कि इस गरेआ -ओ- ज़ारी के असर से मेरे झोंपड़े के दरवाज़े और दीवारों से वीरानी टपकती है। इस से ये मालूम होता है की इस नहस पन से ये घर एक ना एक दिन बिल्कुल वीरान हो जाएगा।
शेअर की खूबियां: शेअर के अलफ़ाज़ काशाना, दर-ओ-दीवार, गिरया, ख़राबी, ब्याबाँ वग़ैरा, ग़म और tragedy बयान करने वाले अलफ़ाज़ हैं और बहुत मुनासिब हैं। दर और दीवारों से बयाबाँ टपकने की बात ग़ालिब ही कह सकता है। ग़ौर कीजिए : गिरिया आँखों में आँसूं लाता है जो टपकने लगते हैं। इस की नक़ल करते हुए दरोदीवार वीरानी टपकाने लगते हैं

This is the 1^st verse of Ghalib’s 18^th ghazal. 

Bas ke dushvar hai, har kam ka aasaN hona                                                                                      Is any thing in life easy? No, every thing is extremely difficult                                                                                                     Aadmi ko bhi  muyssir  nahiN   insaN  hona                                                                            Look! Even for humans it is extremely hard becoming humane                                                                                                 Bas ke = extremely      Dushwar=hard, difficult      Muyassar=available, bestowed     Aadmi=son of Adam, human being             InsaN= Human beings       

Meaning: Ghalib says every task in our daily life is so insurmountable. For an example, we are progeny of Adam and therefore we are called “Aadmi” meaning man or human. From this station, it is only one-step becoming real “InsaN” or humane. However, this also is extremely difficult to achieve.

Hali’s Opinion: Human to humane seems only one-step and easy. However, if we think deeper, Ghalib’s thought is unique. Ghalib claims, in this world, even the easiest task is extremely difficult. To prove his point, he puts forward an argument that the man, who is also called human, cannot achieve the degree when he could be called “humane”.

This is the 2^nd verse of Ghalib’s 18^th ghazal.                                                                                                         Girya chahe hai kharabi mere kashane ki                                                                                       My laments crave destruction of myabode                                                                                                                                    Dar-o-divar se Tapke hai bayabaNhona                                                                                           Look! My doors and walls drip wilderness.                                                                                                                               Girya = lament, cries      Kharbi=destruction    Kashana = abode, dwelling        Dar=door       Dar-o-divar = Doors & walls     Tapke hai = Tapakta hai, drips; Tapke hai is old Urdu usage  BayabaN hona = Ghalib’s unique construction for “wilderness in making”         

Meaning: Ghalib puts postulation: My laments’ wish destruction of my abode. He argues; Look at my doors and windows. You will find wilderness dripping from everywhere, from all doors and walls

 Finer aspects: Words abode, doors, walls, laments, destruction, wilderness etc. describe big tragedy and are very appropriate. Story of doors and walls dripping wilderness, only Ghalib can think of. Appreciate the color combination: Lamentation produce tears, which then drip from eyes. As a reaction, doors and walls mimic the process and drip wilderness.

આ ગ઼ાલિબ ની ૧૮મી ગ઼ઝલ નો શેર નંબર ૧ છે.                                                              બસ કે દુશ્વાર હે, હર કામ કા આસાં  હોના                                                       આદમી કો ભી મુયસ્સીર નહીં ઇનસાં હોના                                                        બસ કે = ઘણુ વધારે  દુશ્વાર= મુશ્કેલ   ઇનસાં હોના= સાચા અર્થ મા માણસ  બનવુ    મુયસ્સર= મળવું, હાંસલ થવું                 

અર્થઃ ગ઼ાલિબ કહે છે કે આ દુનિયા માં બધુજ અઘરુ છ, કોઇ કામ સહેલુ નથી. એક સાદી વાત ને જુઓ, આમ તો આપણે હઝરત આદમ ની ઓલાદ આદમી કે મનુષ્ય કહેવાઇએ છીએ અને આ મથક થી સાચા માણસ બનવાનુ ફક્ત એક ડગલુ દૂર છે; પણ તે ડગલુ ઘણુ વધારે અઘરુ છે.

 શેર ની ખુબીઓઃ દુશ્વાર અને આસાં, આદમી અને ઇનસાં જેવા વિરોધાભાષી શબ્દો ના પ્રયોગે શેર મા જીવ ઉમેર્યો છે.

 ગ઼ાલિબ નિષ્ણાંત ના અભિપ્રાયઃ

મોલાના હાલી નો અભીપ્રાયઃ સહેજ નજરે આ એક મામુલી વાત  લાગે છે. પણ ધ્યાન પૂર્વક જોઇએ તો આ એક અજોડ વિચાર છે. ગ઼ાલિબે દાવો કર્યો  છે કે આ દુનિયા માં સહેલ મા સહેલુ કામ પણ અઘરુ છે. અને તેની દલીલ તરીકે રજુ કરે છે  કે આપણે  માણસ છે છતાં ખરા માણસ થઇ નથી શક્તા

આ ગ઼ાલિબ ની ૧૮મી ગ઼ઝલ નો શેર નંબર ૨ છે.                                                                           ગિરયા ચાહે હે ખ઼રાબી મેરે  કાશાને કી                                                         દરોદીવાર સે ટપકે  હે બયાં બાં  હોના                                                           ગિરયા= રુદન, વિલાપ   ખ઼રાબી =બરબાદી    દરો દીવાર સે ટપકે હે =દરવાજા અને દીવાલ માંથી ઝરી રહયું છે                                      બિયાબાં = બિલકુલ વેરાન    કાશાના=ઝુંપડુ, ઘર   

અર્થઃ ગ઼ાલિબ બયાન આપે છેઃ મારુ રુદન ઇચ્છે છે કે મારુ ઘર વેરાન થઇ જાય.અને તેની દલીલ રજુ કરે છેઃ જુઓ મારા  ઘર ના દરવાજા અને દીવાલ થી વેરાની ટપકી રહી છે. આથી લાગે છે કે મારા રુદન ની અશુભતા થી આ ઘર કેઇ  દિવસે  બિલકુલ  વેરાન થઇ જશે.

શેર  ની  ખુબીઓઃ શેર ના શબ્દો કાશાના, દરોદીવાર, ગિરયા, ખ઼રાબી, બિયાબાન, વગેરે  દુખ  અને Tragedy બયાન કરનાર શબ્દો છે અને ઘણા અનુકૂળ છે. દરવાજા અને દીવાલ માં થી વેરાની ટપકવાની વાત ફ્ક્ત ગ઼ાલિબજ કહી શકે. શેર ની રંગીનતા જુઓઃ રુદન આંખ મા આંસુ લાવે છે, જે પછી ટપકવા ma>ડે છે. આના પડઘા કે નકલ તરીકે દરવાજા અને દીવાલ વેરાની ટપકાવવા માંડે છે.
